Adios Party Van!!!

The day has finally come.  The party van is no more.  You will no longer see me cruising around in my Hotessy (that was my name for her).  THe final straw was the AC dying last week.  We got to ride around with no AC for 6 days (not like I was counting.  I toally enjoy getting out of my car with a wet back).  She served us well.  I really love my party van.  I couldn't have survived without the automatic sliding doors when my kids were babies.  We had alot of great memories in that car:
1. Driving to Sea World
2. Picking my Mom up from the airport until she moved here
3. The trunk of that car has been filled with many different bags for many different sports
4. It was the first car to pick up Dallin from Kindergarten.
5.It's really the only car Kali has been in.
6. We've seen countless movies in there...baby mozart kept my children quiet for many car rides.
7.It's the only car we've had at our current house, my driveway will have to get used to something new.
8. Before I got my GPS I got lost many times in that car.
9.It was a solid first base while the kids played baseball in the yard.
10. I got my first speeding ticket EVER.  Curses to you for driving with such ease Hotessy!
Oh how I will miss my sliding doors.  Let me pray right now that my kids don't open our new doors and hit the car next to us...

There are certainly a few things I will NOT miss about it.  It brings back the memory of the day we were forced off the road by a school bus.  We hit a mailbox as we went and off came our rear view mirror.  We never got that fixed-they told us it would be $350..and you only need one to pass inspection....  I don't even know how I'll drive with TWO mirrors...it also became a favorite home for spider webs.

The bent antennae...don't worry folks if it had affected my radio listening at all, it would have been fixed.  There's also the crack in the windshield, but the camera couldn't quite capture that.  Geez, I make it sound like a trashy van..it wasn't.  She was good to me.

So, what did we get?  We searched high and low and finally decided we would get a...

I LOVE this car!!!  We get a KILLER deal on it and the kids love it.  It has a DVD player, bucket seats (a must so our kids can't touch each other) and Kali's favorite feature is the sunroof!  They told us it's "hard loaded" and I love that the third row folds down with the press of a button!  The color is pearl white so kind of a metallic white.

As we were driving home I discovered another feature.  I said to Dallin,
"Big D is your booty getting cold?"
He says, ,"yeah, and I kind of like it!  There are air holes on my seat, this is AWESOME!!!"

The steering wheel is so smooth...love it!

Now I just need a new name for her...any suggestions?

I love it! What a fancy car. I say you should name it something to represent how shiny it is, maybe Sparkles or Shazette or Starbuck or something. Actually as I write those out, I think they are way to femmy-- I'm sure Dallin and Blake would revolt! Okay, maybe something like... actually, let me keep thinking.

You forgot #11 - the time my little H-Bear threw up on the way to pumpkin fun. We'll have to try it out in this new car :)

I've always loved the Truffle Shuffle - it has nothing to do with the car, but it sure is fun to say. There's always, Easy Peasy, Lemon Squeezy.

I think you should call it the Refrigerator (because of all your fancy cooling units)!
